One lucky local was declared the “last man standing” in Station Casinos’ annual football picks contest after week 17 of the pro football season.
Mr. William Jensen outlasted 6,324 entries in Station Casinos’ $150,000 Pro Football Last Man Standing contest.
The contest rules are simple, contestants pick a winning team against the contest line each week of the pro football season.
Just two contestants remained heading into week 17.
Mr. Jensen selected the Baltimore Ravens -3½ points vs the Miami Dolphins, the Ravens won 56-19 over the Dolphins while the other contestant selected the Los Angeles Rams -4½ at the New York Giants. The Rams lead 26-19 with 3:49 minutes left in the game when the Giants returned a punt 94 yards for a touchdown to make the score 26-25. The Giants attempted a 2 point conversion to take the lead but the attempt failed. The Rams prevailed 26-25 but did not cover the -4½ contest line, making Mr. Jensen a $150,000 winner!
