There’s a “new” kid on the block in Las Vegas, though that kid is very familiar. Palace Station, the first locals casino in Vegas, is undergoing a huge renovation. The #NewClassicPalace will combine its classic beginnings in 1976 with a completely modernized entertainment destination experience. We couldn’t be more excited.
Station Casinos is investing $192 million dollars in the project. It kicked off in fall 2016 and will be completed later this year. The longtime locals’ favorite will soon debut with a new look as well as exciting entertainment experiences and offerings. Here’s what’s new, and coming, at Palace Station.
Here’s What’s New at Palace Station
1. More Space Means More Room for Action
A 220,000 square foot addition is joining the existing Palace Station. Also, a brand-new low-rise exterior façade and porte-cochere with valet area have already been completed (and look great, in our opinion!).
Likewise, for added convenience for our guests, an additional 300 parking spaces are being added, and will be completed at the end of June 2018.
2. Gaming, Perfected: The New Palace Station Casino Timeline
A COMPLETE renovation of the existing casino floor, as well as additional gaming in the expanded space, is almost here! It includes:
- A new bingo room, which is completed and already part of the action.
- A renovated race and sports book, as well as a new sports book bar. They will both be completed around August 2018.
- A renovated poker room, opening in the late summer 2018.
Gaming, by the numbers:
- 500 slot machines are being installed in the expansion area and additional table games have been added to the existing gaming pit.
- In fact, Palace Station will offer approximately 1,800 slot/video poker machines and 43 table games.
Palace expects the expansion to be completed at the end of June.
3. Roll Call, Foodies! New Food and Beverage Options Come to Palace Station
You heard it here first: four new restaurants will be joining the existing lineup that includes the highly acclaimed Oyster Bar, Charcoal Room steakhouse, Grand Café and Little Tony’s. New restaurants include:
Paying homage to America’s beloved burger, Chef Ralph Perrazzo brings his New York-based restaurant offering burgers prepared either steamed, cooked over embers of charcoal or on a hot griddle.
An extensive vegan and vegetarian selection, expertly curated craft beer program and indulgent desserts such as handcrafted milkshakes will also be featured. Of course, mark your calendars: bBd’s opens Labor Day Weekend. Follow allong with bBd’s on their Instagram and Twitter.

You don’t have to wait too long for this one: Boathouse opens in early August 2018. Get a sneak peek into what’s coming by following Boathouse on Instagram and Twitter.
The iconic buffet that was first introduced at Palace Station 30 years ago will debut its next generation with an all-new look and eclectic menu, taking inspiration from the successful new AYCE Buffet at Palms.

Mumfresh Asian Eats
From the creators of Boathouse Asian Eatery comes a casual, quick serve teppanyaki-inspired menu! In that vein, think banh mi sandwiches, noodle soups and boba teas. Yum! Mumfresh opens later 2018.
4. Are You Not Entertained? New Movieplex at Palace Station
Regal Entertainment Group will offer a boutique nine-screen luxury movieplex featuring all-luxury recliner seating! Most importantly, refreshments are stocked as the Cinebarre restaurant concept serving food, beer and wine before and during movies delivered right to your seat. The movieplex opens later this year.
5. Stay a While: New Palace Hotel Features
Now open! The new resort-style pool area features a raised bar, dining area, event lawn, private cabanas and daybeds. Trust us, the bar area is a hidden gem for locals.
And after a long day by the pool, guests will soon be able to retreat to renovated hotel guest rooms and suites. Coming… soon.
